FSC-US and The Nature Conservancy team up to co-host a design competition in which the goal is to design an original and compelling object that can be made from a single sheet of FSC-certified plywood measuring 4-feet x 8-feet x 1-inch.  

All are welcome to enter, including furniture designers and manufacturers, architects and industrial designers.  Click Here for full competition details.

The SFC is launching this first of its kind "Train the Trainers" program, a 6-course examination series resulting in your accreditation as an SFC Certified Trainer with expertise in green home furnishings.  Course segments include Environmental Issues, Consumer Understanding, Materials, Operations,Marketing & Sales, and Interior Design.

HIGH POINT — The Green Initiative for Furniture and Textile Industry, or GIFFT, is requesting donations of lightweight 100% cotton fabric.
The program takes furniture and textile companies' unwanted fabric and fabric samples, which would normally be thrown into a landfill, and repurposes them. More>>
